Log Home Ideas: Elviira

Gross floor area: 22 m2

THE TWO PERSONALITIES OF ELVIIRA
Elviira got its name based on Mozart's character in Don Giovanni. Like the opera, Elviira floor plan
has two sides one of comic and one of drama. This is because during sunny summer days this cabin
has an outside veranda for grill parties and during rainy days a comfortable living room combined with kitchen.
PRACTICALITY
With this cabin you get so much more. As expected it has sauna and bathroom. Our original
idea was to design the cabin for a wood burning stove and water heater. This is why we have included a
covered area for firewood storage behind the cabin. Keep your firewood close by and dry but out of sight.
SUMMER KITCHEN
Everybody loves a gentle summer breeze and sunshine is also best enjoyed outside. However, summer rain is
best viewed from inside and keeping these things in mind we included a covered veranda for get-togethers and family dinners.
WINTER HOLIDAYS
The living room can be modified to accommodate a fire place, that way this summer cabin can welcome visitors also
during winter holidays. If you decide to have the sauna it can be used throughout the year and the more you use it the more you love it.
Log Home Ideas
Our design portfolio provides alternatives in various sizes.
The floor area marked by each floor plan tells you the size of the plan, these can be altered to suit your own requirements.
All models can be designed as either a modern town house, to fit in with other surrounding buildings or as traditional log homes.
Laminated glulam logs are used throughout our range and are offered in a range of thickness and heights, these are well suited for building a comfortable log home and a place in which to live or spend a holiday.
Short-cornered town houses can provide a traditional log-house feeling, with log panelling on the interior walls or you can have wallpapered walls and tiles, or a mix and match, the choice is yours, you can alter the decorative style to your heart’s content, and still enjoy the solid structure and the healthy indoor air that is characteristic of a wooden house.
