Granny Annexes are a popular solution for many families who are contemplating moving a relative or close friend into their home, to be close to their nearest and dearest in their time of need.

This can often leave homes cramped and crowded. The most ideal and environmentally friendly answer is to build a solid log or timber frame Granny Flat or annex in your garden.

Granny flats and annexes offer a higher degree of independence for relatives than ‘living in' the main dwelling..

They are still subject to the same rules as any other house extension, which means planning permission and building regulations approval are needed, although, so long as you have a large enough garden there should be no problem.

Our Granny flats and annexes meet all these regulations.

If you are looking for a Granny Annex or similar type of building, you will find these very high quality buildings very competitively priced, they can either be erected as a static building if the planning authority will permit this or as a transportable mobile granny flat.

If you have suitable access to the site the mobile type might be more acceptable to the planning authorities than the static buildings.

These gluelam Log Granny Annexes are manufactured in Finland from the very best materials and meet all the building and planning regulations and the British Standards requirements, they are suitable for year round accommodation, being fully insulated and fitted with high class double glazed windows and doors.

Alternatively you might prefer one of our Park Home type. With these you have a choice of exterior finish:

Rendering which can be painted to a colour of your choice.
Timber clad to look very similar to a log cabin.
Real wire cut brick, to a colour of your choice.

Our Park Homes are very solid, not like the caravan type you see on many sites up and down the country.
The walls are over 200 mm thick, the whole building is fully insulated with high quality double glazed windows and doors.
They can be made in either 20' wide or 12' wide from a one bedroom 30' long up to a 3/4 bedroom model 60' long.

Any example prices shown are as accurate as possible, these will be subject to fluctuation with the Euro/£ exchange rate and any structural or interior alteration you might desire.

The prices reflect the cost including delivery to most parts of the UK .

Transportable Log Mobile Homes are exempt from VAT, so long as they are used as your main home, only loose fittings will incur the tax.

Exemption of council tax can be applied for if they meet the following criteria:

A dwelling which lies in the area of ground of another dwelling house and is occupied by a person who is:-

related to the person living in that main dwelling house and who is:

• aged 65 or over, or

• severely mentally impaired, or

• substantially and permanently disabled.
