Laminated logs

Laminated logs are glued from two or more wooden layers so that the heart of the wood is at the surface of the log. Glue joints are positioned vertically, and the moisture content of the logs when manufactured is approximately 13%. As a result of this special production technique,laminated logs do not split or bend.

  
  Both pine and spruce are suitable raw materials for laminated logs. The manufacturing of laminated logs. Laminated supports and finger-jointed structures is carried out according to a quality control agreement reached with VTT; The Technical Research Centre of Finland.
